In various situations in the Freckles' Whispered Wish story, a character contemplates decisions whether to help the newcomer or not.  This allows the reader to engage their young ones in later, meaningful conversations about kindness and friendship with questions like: "What do you think about Freddy the Frog's response?" or "How easy was it for Mr. Giddy to help Freckles?"
